AT: what is it?

The Alexander Technique offers a reliable, systematic method for "unlearning" the harmful postural and movement habits we all acquire in adulthood, and gradually regaining the poise, ease and pleasure in movement, which are among the most profound benefits of health, enjoyment and coordination.

A thorough acquaintance with the many benefits of AT will involve a series of private lessons. Most teachers advise prospective pupils to plan for an initial block of 20-30 lessons over 6 months-1 year period of time. Most pupils will then have occasional "reminder sessions" for some months and indeed many people continue to do so throughout their lives..

Alexandrous Ballard did his training and certification at the Oregon center for the Alexander Technique. He numbers among his students; eye surgeons, politicians, professional pianists, people with severe injuries, dancers, violinists, massage therapists and many others. His crossover skills as a Ballet teacher and Aikido teacher enable him to address his students progress with clarity and experience.

Teaching Schedule: Monday afternoons 12:30-5, Tuesday mornings 9-11:30, Wednesday afternoons 12:30-4:30, Thursday mornings 9-11:30, Friday afternoons 12:30-4, occasional hours on Saturday and Sundays schedule permitting.
